" What a wonderful series! I am so captivated by Serafina and her stories. I typically don’t read more than one book in a series, but it seems like these get better every time! " said.

" This book was very exciting and adventurous. I like how he included her half sister and half brother in the beginning of the book. Beatty added some fun interesting characters. It had some violent and gory parts, but overall it was a great book. Robert Beatty did it again with another amazing novel! " said.

"Robert Beatty is a master wordsmith and this 4th installment of one of my all-time favorite characters did not disappoint. In fact, I’d dare to say it’s my favorite in the series! I was turning pages as quickly as I could to find out what would happen next. The creativity and the suspense created with the villains was incredible. I truly loved this book and cannot wait to highlight it in my 5th grade classroom with our “First Chapter Fridays.”

Readers are hooked from page 1 as Serafina and Braeden encounter evil of new proportions and have to band together, along with the help of newcomers, to protect Biltmore and it’s most precious residents. Beatty’s incorporation of mythology, history, and suspense will keep readers completely enthralled and on the edge of their seats.

I would highly recommend this book to grades 5-8, or anyone who loves a good mystery in an enchanted setting.

"This book was great, I loved the tension and the darkness of the plot. The mystery was enchanting and once I got into the action of the book, I couldn't put it down. Although I thought that the previous book was the perfect ending for the series, I was excited about this fourth installment and my thirst was definitely satisfied. It had some bittersweet moments too, especially at the end. I had wished that the mystery was more spread out throughout the book, but then again I read so quickly that almost every book seems rushed so that might be just me. Overall I enjoyed this read and I hope that the author will write a fifth installment to this series, I just don't feel like Serafina's and Braeden's journeys together stop here.
Next I am going to read The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and I am very excited about this one especially after the first book was so good. I will rate it when I'm finished.

"*squeals* Wow. Just wow. Robert Beatty has blown me away with another brilliantly imaginative book. While I was a little scared to start this book, it sucked me in from the first page, and I (of course) read it in one sitting. The plot and plot twists, as in all of his books, were just spectacular. Do you always fear that there is danger around every corner? Serafina has been the protector of the Biltmore Estate her whole life. She started out as the CRC, Chief Rat Catcher, and her skills have grown from catching rats to a sorcerer in a black cloak to a conjurer with unbelievable powers. She has gone to battle to protect the people of Biltmore many times, but now she has a whole new battle, and this time she has to do it without her best friend, Braeden. She is having to fight things that don't even seem real to her - creatures with wings and sharp talons, snarling griffins with the body of an African lion with the head and wings of an eagle, and an extremely large wyvern with talons as sharp as knives. She doesn't understand why these creatures are attacking and killing the people of Biltmore. She also doesn't understand why they are targeting Baby Nell, Mr. and Mrs. Vanderbilt's daughter. By the time Serafina figures out what is happening, will it be too late for the Vanderbilts? Can she figure out a way to get Braeden to come back and help her? Will she find a way to save her beloved Biltmore and the people who live there, or will this be the final chapter that brings the estate to ruins? Find out by reading the fourth installment of the Serafina books!!! Don't miss out!!

I am a HUGE fan of Serafina!! I read these books to my 6th grade book club every year and they are as obsessed with these books as I am! I am over the top excited to introduce Serafina and the Seven Stars to my new group of 6th graders this year. With every book that Robert Beatty publishes, I think that he can't outdo the previous book, but he does. Every Serifina book is edge-of-your-seat exciting and this new one does not disappoint. If you have read my blogs before then you know that I am not a fast reader, so when I say I read this one in a day, that should let you know something about this book. I could not put it down!! Do not miss this book that is full of action, suspense, fantasy, magic, family, friendship, and most of all love!

" This is probably my favorite of all the Serafina books! Beatty has definitely started to “grow” the content of his books with his readers. It is super suspenseful and has some really great twists and turns; especially when you find out who the “bad guy” is. I have loved watching Serafina and Braeden grow during these 4 books and this one did not disappoint. " said.

""It seemed as if everyone had a job to do, a role to play, to fix the always breaking world."

I really enjoyed this one! What I really appreciate about this series is how atmospheric it is. The author has a way of making you feel as though you are actually there with the characters. I love how each book is better than the last, you can really see Beatty grow as a writer.

This series may not be perfect, but it's thrilling, fun, and can even give me the chills on occasion. Serafina and the Seven Stars is a strong addition to the series as a whole, and I can't wait to see what comes next. Maybe a Willa of the Wood sequel? Please?
