" The action continues in this fantasy series great for fans of Amulet. The stakes are higher for the three friends as they continue to be hunted down to prevent them from lighting more of the beacons. " said.

" Looking forward to the next installment in this series! " said.

" I loved the character development. This remains an incredible looking series. I wish the political commentary weren't so overbearing. " said.

" It was nice seeing Oona and her friends again in their new adventure. The beginning was pretty rough but it was still enjoyableI don't really have anything else to say about it other than it was nice " said.

" Another great volume in this series! I still love the art and color palettes. I enjoy that each volume brings us to a new planet to explore. New surroundings, new political climates, new enemies and allies. I love the three main characters and how supportive they are of each other. They all get a lot of page time too. Can't wait for more! "this whole series is just so absolutley lovely, i can't help but give book #3 5 stars as well.

alas, i love that this series is LITerally beautiful.
the cast is diverse with real proportions and variety of skintones.
there's magic and so much left to visuals instead of language, it's refreshing to step away from full-on prose every now and then.

but now i need a break from any fantasy/sci*fi that deals with politics (unintentional, perhaps, but sure is a storyline these days, and exhausting because it hurts to look at reality in the same lens).

series appropriate for all age*groups.
very inspiring for aspiring artists, too. it's just so pretty & well*done!!
(unlike so many graphic novels that only spend time on the cover, the whole insides are stunning as well!! all the colours!!!) :D

" Excellent artwork and story. In this third installment, Oona is tasked with lighting the red beacon. We get a glimpse of Jax Amboy’s life as a starball player. A fascinating band of rebels help Oona face one of her toughest challenges within herself. Thank you so much to the publisher for letting me access an advance review copy. " said.

"First off thanks to the publishers for a digital ARC!

Oona and her friends explore a new world with new challenges in their quest to light the beacons on all five worlds. The plots developed in the first two volumes intertwine and deepen when confronted by a less overt manifestation of the Mimic. Big changes are in store for Jax and An Tzu as the band of friends overcomes difficulties separately and meets a different kind of sand dancer. Oona learns some problems require less physical strength and more a change in the point of view. All in all the action ticks along at a good clip. I'll be looking forward the next volume!
