" Great book with way better details then other one. " said.

" My favourite thing about this book is the photos that accompany the instructions. They actually look like they have been made by children. So many "kids activities" are done by adults, and accompanying photos display an unrealistic result. With this book I could actually see what the child would be capable of achieving, and it helps remind me to step back and let the kids do it. " said.

"Finally, a simple machine sewing book for kids with great instructions! Sewing School 2 is an addition to the previous hand sewing book. However, you don't have to have hand sewing skills to enjoy this title.
This book contains tips on choosing a machine, fabric, patterns, stitches and more. It even has a chapter on hand sewing and fixing mistakes.

Each project is rated with stars which I really like.
One star- Basic and only takes about an hour
Two stars- Skill building and may take a few days to complete
Three stars- Harder projects with more steps

These ratings help the reader to determine if this is a "just right" project for them. Each project also contains messages to parents and helpful tips to the reader. Another plus is that the book doesn't encourage perfection and encourages free expression. There are also fun pictures of children sewing the projects and using them in real life. This is way better than the kids books with adult hands doing all of the work.

Overall a 5 star book on sewing for kids. I would recommend it for ages 8 and up, although younger kids could try with parental guidance. There are enough projects to keep even the busiest seamstress going and difficult enough patterns to challenge tweens and teens. I highly recommend this for school and public libraries. This is going on my list for our library!

"My girls loved this book there are a whole bunch of really neat activities for them to do. The colors and instructions are great and very easy to understand even for my 3 year old." said.

"This is a fantastic book! I purchased for my granddaughter to use with her new sewing machine. BTW, when my second granddaughter received a sewing machine, I made sure she received this book as well. The book is well designed with each lesson building on the previous. Definitely, well made with kid-use in mind—the spiral binding makes it easy to read and go through each of the lessons. This is the perfect addition for anyone giving a sewing machine or with a child who just received a sewing machine. Wonderful way to learn about your sewing machine, develop basic sewing skills, make fun and useful things, and have fun at the same time. This is a must have!" said.
