"Trevor begins with a brief introduction explaining the difference between Eastern and Western religions generally. Hinduism is discussed with more depth than the other religions in the book; information includes various gods and goddess, origins of the religion, sacred texts, and Hindu worship practices. Trevor also provides brief introductions to Jainism, Sikhism, Buddhism, the Shinto faith, and Taoism.

This book is text and information rich in its elementary discussions of Eastern religions, but I still don’t feel like I learned very much. The information appears to be accurate, and the pictures help readers connect to these ancient religions; however, the information, while brief, is both overwhelming and confusing at times. I struggled to make it through the book.
