" I loved this! I saw this on NetGalley and had to request it.Read the rest of the review at ComaCalm's Corner! " said.

" Brian Cleary creates another great book celebrating language. This time it's silly tongue twisters. Includes information about the construction of tongue twisters and why they're difficult to pronounce. Best read out loud! " said.

" This is a fun book of tongue twisters. Reading them aloud is a challenge, but trying to say them three times fast is hilarious. The illustrations are colorful and cartoonish and quite nicely depict the funny sayings. We had fun reading them together and taking turns slipping up on the alliterative phrases. We also liked the explanation in the back that describes how to make tongue twisters and which combinations that work particularly well. Overall, this is a silly, but entertaining book. " said.

"Title: Six Sheep Sip Thick Shakes: and other tricky tongue twisters by Brian P. Cleary illustrated by Steve Mack
Summary: A cheerful twist on tongue twisters.
Age: 6-8 years
Rating: Yes
Pros:
As promised, this book features new and tricky tongue twisters. My favorite twister is: “Sasha shifted as she sifted through the thistle for her sisters whistle”.
The illustrations are delightfully bold and feature diverse characters.
The back of the book features a tutorial on how to make tongue twisters. This is an excellent feature for teachers looking to use the book for a lesson on tongue twisters.
Cons:
Many of the twisters are quite difficult and a bit too long. I struggled with a few and likewise some children might be discouraged by the difficult. (However, a clever educator could easily modify or shorten some of the twisters to offer a greater range of difficult for students.)
The book is not a story but rather a series of different tongue twisters that have been illustrated and packaged in picture book form.
Usage: The book would work best in a classroom setting, particularly as the opener to a lesson on tongue twisters.

" Miss 3 and I like to explore different books at the library and try to get different ones out every week or so; it's fun for both of us to have the variety and to look at a mix of new & favourite authors.Maybe not so great as a bedtime book but I did have fun trying to say the twisters fast and I think that older kids would have fun attempting to say them as fast as they can! "Brian Cleary brought us delightful series of books about parts of speech, and now has put out a book of tounge twisters designed for those just beginning to read. They are not too tricky, but work for younger folks still mastering reading. I especially liked the instructions on how to make a tounge twister, I wish there had been more on that. I think it would emphasize the ways the sound works. The illustrations are bright and cheerful. A good choice for libraries looking for updated riddle books for early readers. From NetGalley" said.

"Who doesn't love tongue twisters? This book is filled with clever ones and some that are quite unexpected as Cleary plays with language in his usual delightful way. Although the artwork is interesting as well, one of the attractions of this picture book is how the author offers suggestions for how to create your own tongue twisters. Here's hoping that this book will inspire a few more tongues to get tangled as readers try to wrap their mouths around phrases that are almost impossible to pronounce together. This book is tons of fun!" said.

"I asked for a copy of this book through NetGalley, in the hopes that it would effectively hold the attention of my boys. Tongue twister books are excellent tools for little ones in speech classes or any children learning to clearly pronounce words. The tongue twisters in this book felt a little simple at first but I now feel they are perfect for my boys, who are in a younger age group. I recommend this book for parents and teachers interested in focusing on speech and language devleopement. The illustrations were especially brilliant and extremely effective at holding the attention of my kids. " said.
