" Similar to most rooster waking the farm up stories, except this time the rooster chooses the sheep to help him. Mistakes happen and rooster realizes he is where he is supposed to be. " said.

" I can relate, Rupert. I'm not a morning person either. I thought the sheep getting together to "sound the day" was cute, but otherwise I wasn't blown away. " said.

" would be good in a bird theme, farm theme, or sheep theme " said.

" Great story, perfect for storytime. I read it to my classes, and the kids loved it. Even some of the grown-ups in the room were laughing! It was really fun to read. " said.

" Rupert tries to problem solve a way to sleep in and makes matters worse. Overall, I enjoyed this story, but there was just a little something off about it for me. " said.

" A cautionary tale about outsourcing for the preschool set. " said.

" Cute story about a Rooster who doesn't like getting up before everyone else. I can sympathize with Rupert, I don't like getting up before everyone else either. " said.

" I would use this book with Cock-A-Doodle Quack! Quack! and the other animal noises books that we have. It has an abrupt ending, but I liked the additional detail of the sheep choir (as well as their posture when they are trying to cock-a-doodle-doo.) " said.
