When a great white bear comes to a home of a poor peasant and his family, the bear promises that he will make the family rich if they give him his youngest daughter. The family agrees and the young girl is sent to live with the bear. Later on, however, the young girl finds out that the bear is actually a cursed prince and she sets off to the castle that lies east of the sun west of the moon to break the prince's curse.
