"Rabbit Ears has done it again as this audio cd is about the wonderful tales of Beatrix Potter. In the first story, "The Tale of Peter Rabbit," Peter learns the hard way about disobeying his mother's warning about going to Mr. McGregor's garden and in the second tale, "The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher," Jeremy Fisher's fishing trip turns into an intense adventure he will never forget. In the last tale, "The Tailor of Gloucester," some good mice make a poor tailor's dream come true when they try to help finish the coat that the tailor was making for the mayor of Gloucester.

Meryl Streep's narration is tender and beautiful and her narration will make anyone listen to this story many times. Lyle Mays' music is soothing during "The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher" and jazzy during "The Tale of Peter Rabbit." In "The Tailor of Gloucester" the Chieftains' old fashioned music fits the story perfectly. Anyone who is a true fan of Meryl Streep and Beatrix Potter will definitely cherished this story for a long time.

"I've hardly ever read or listened to stories by Beatrix Potter. To listen to these three stories narrated by Merrill Strep is quite delightful. It only lasts about an hour to my surprise. We didn't read these much at home when I was young that I remember. Trying to touch on the different genres I may have missed. This is really well done.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit, the Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher - Read by Meryl Streep, Original Music by Lyle Mays in this first tale, the curious and disobedient Peter Rabbit learns that he should have listened to his mother's warning about Mr. McGregor's garden. In the second, Mr. Jeremy Fisher's minnow, fishing trip turns into quite a surprising adventure.

The Tailor of Gloucester: Read by Meryl Streep- Original Music by the Chieftains, the tailor of Gloucester has no more silk thread thanks to his naughty cat Simpkin--but he promised to finish the mayor's wedding coat by Christmas Day! With the help of some special friends, he tailor finds that a kind favor is often returned. We didn't listen to this when we were young, so it was fun to find it in the library.
