"An arctic adventure with a young girl as she learns about polar bears and the effects of global warming. Cute story about a father and daughter who go on a boat ride and discover two polar bear cubs floating on a piece of ice, without their mother. The little girl wonders where their mother is and the father explains to her how polar bears live and what a mother polar bear does to prepare for the arrival of her cubs. He explains how the ice melted too fast in the spring, which is how the polar bear cubs may have gotten separated from their mother and explains what global warming means. Towards the end they see the mother polar bear appear and her cubs climb onto her back so she can bring them back to the den safely. The last page has the little girl explaining what you can do to help slow down global warming and protect the polar bears. Kid-friendly tips on recycling, planting trees and turning off lights/TV when not using them. Love the illustrations." said.
