After a thousand years of peace, the Monkey King is bored and is looking for action. He stumbles into an elementary school in which Karl, a six-year-old bilingual boy, is the only one who can communicate with him. What will the legendary Monkey King do in an American school? What will the students think? This book contains a bilingual version, an English version and a Chinese version. The English version is prefaced by an introduction to the Monkey King. The bilingual version is written partly in Chinese, and partly in English, and captures the thought process of a bilingual child.
