" I like that they say prayers before going to bed. That's really hard to find in children's books these days. " said.

" A perfectly serviceable follow up to the classic books. The writing is neither as good nor as creative, but it does its job well enough. The art is similarly not quite as inspired, but reminiscent enough to fool you into thinking otherwise. It is a pretty good fall asleep book, though. I know especially younger kids will appreciate that more than I did. " said.

" It has been such a long time since I have read any of the Berenstain Bears' books that it was quite a surprise for me, especially since of Honey Bear, which hadn't appeared as any character that I knew of in any previous books (in fact I am trying to figure out if I had read one where Mama Bear had maybe been pregnant with her).

Anyway this is a very simplistic book that just explains what happens when you are tired and how to follow a nightly ritual. There is truly not much of a plot otherwise but the idea that we form such nightly habits is good for children while also giving children who are reading it a chance to disengage from Active Mode to a Relaxing Mode.

The writing is simplistic and easy to follow while the illustrations even with the newest character reminds me of the older books. I can see only one problem within the books itself and that is the fact they wash all the cubs at the same time so I can hear the arguments coming in on that one.

"Delightful! In bear country every critter is getting sleepy. It is getting dark. It is about time for bed. Mama and Papa bear help their little ones ready themselves for bed with a routine of putting away toys, bath time, brushing teeth, prayer. Sleep. A delightful little read that will sweetly help little ones as they get themselves ready for sleepy time.

No rush. No fuss. Just pleasant routine and off to slumber land.
