Book Introduction: The Kidnapping of the Boy with Red Hair tells the story as to how the most powerful Penkyrdd of the Cymry of Maols---the Brotherhood of Mythographers---first came to the Moel Eyris---the Islands on the Edge. The Atecotti, the Oldest Old Ones, sends the shapeshifter, Skar Crombie, on a quest to find the boy with the red hair. Skar Crombie is a huge black bear who is able to take the shape of a burly, black-beared man in order to be successful in the quest he has undertaken. Skar Crombie's determination to find this boy is told in a series of "scenes" that chronicle his adventures in finding the boy with the red hair and bringing him back to the Islands on the Edge. The boy with the red hair becomes the most powerful protector and leader the islands have ever known. This narrative is written in "scenes" that were used for the recording of the author reading the story. The videos of the author reading the scenes can be watched on youtube.com: The Kidnapping of the Boy with Red Hair, Parts 1-6. The manuscript is a work in progress; one of the important background stories for the five volume epic heroic saga: The Lay of Moel Eyris: The Saga of the Bear's Son. Publishing these scenes is an experiment to see how readers respond to the narrative.
