" This story reminded me of my favorite college professor, who was also my children's lit professor. He sparked a passion for reading in me, especially for picture books, but doing just what this librarian did...reading a story and letting the story do all the work. :-) " said.

" This is a cute book about a bear and mouse who visit the library. They end up at storytime and learning about quiet voices in the library. This is a nice book for introducing children to the library, but it can seem a bit longer than similar books. " said.

" This would be a fun book to include while introducing younger age groups to the library and exposing them to genres that entice their own passions and interests. I think this book would be helpful to express the importance of reading and finding books that interest my students. " said.

" Another fail in this week's haul. We have read much better books about libraries than grumpy growly bear!Miss 3 and I like to explore different books and authors at the library, sometimes around particular topics or themes. We try to get different ones out every week or so; it's fun for both of us to have the variety and to look at a mix of new & favourite authors. " said.

"Such a librarian book! Bear doesn't want to go to the library because he's perfectly happy with the 7 books (on 3 topics) that he has. But he promised Mouse. Can Mouse, or anyone at the library, find something he'll like?
Every parent or librarian who has tried to get a child or grownup friend to use the library will identify with the process here. (Reminds me of a recent Reddit thread in fact). Bear is, in fact, eventually lured into getting some books via a particular storytime book... Great pictures, great facial expressions in the illustrations. I just love it.

"The Bonnie Becker Bear books have been one of the most favorites in our home while our daughter has been growing up. This one, which we just all read together, had just the same amount of charm and personality as the previous ones in the series. As each has its own little life lesson, Library Book for Bear teaches us that libraries have a huge amount of book options. And though this can be overwhelming at first, we can discover books that not only meet our desires, but also be introduced to new stories that go beyond the scope our self-imposed boundaries.
We will always hold the Bear books dear. And this is just one more added to that special treasure chest.

" Mouse shows Bear the joys of the library! (And how to use his library voice). " said.

" I love the bear character. I love all the silly faces he makes. " said.
