" The illustration was excellent and a bit different to many picture books I've read in that they are vertical and thin in order to fit as many in as possible. The story was okay, about a bear who goes exploring " said.

" Wow, people LOVE this book on Goodreads. I hated it. I mean, I really hated it. I found it repetitive and very, very boring. My mom hated it. My dated hated it.In related news, The Bear in the Cave is now available in Little Free Library 1925. " said.

" The Bear in the Cave by Michael Rosen, illustrated by Adrian Reynolds - So, this is a partner book for the wonderful We're Going on a Bear Hunt... and what a fantastic one it is... I appreciate how I could connect this book to Ashley Spires' book Larf with a creature going into the city to investigate... but this title had such fun repetition and entertaining qualities! " said.

" This one is one of Mommy's favorites, because it has such a great rhythm and so many fun things to say! We've started to like it a lot, too, and will pick it out of the stack of books especially. We sit through the whole thing, which is a big deal for a book with so many words on each page. The illustrations are unique and so colorful and fun. " said.

" This book is a lovely story for younger kids just before bedtime. I was reading this book with my nephew who is 3 and it is one of his favourite books. The repeated lines on each page are perfect for the toddler to join in with telling the story themselves, once they are familiar with it and make reading it so much more enjoyable for the adult (or at least I found so). Now when I visit I pick the book myself to read with him before bedtime! " said.

"I ADORE this book and author! Such a wonderful little story, loads of fun repetition and also opportunities to talk about how questions work and intonation of voice when reading and asking questions, versus answering with full stops at the end of sentences. My now 6-year-old has had this story read to him since he was about 3. I used it for the pictures and sing-song voice I could use then, and now, we have spent time talking about how you learn to read and why authors write how they do; like the author has done in this book.
Highly recommend, from birth to learning to read and a bit beyond.
