" Not bad for a kids book! Healthy options too " said.

" Now here is a cookbook you will actually USE with your kids and LOVE! There are some great recipes in here and my girls are pumped to try it out! I know there are a lot of children's recipe books out on the market but this one is one you do not want to miss! " said.

" My son saw this book in the library and insisted we get it. He reads TFK at school and was excited to see the cookbook. I love that there are pictures of every recipe. The directions are clear and easy to follow. We also enjoyed the Top 5 and TFK Around the World sections. " said.

"I have such a weakness for cookbooks, and this one was one of my favorites. It not only had decent recipes with lots of information for children on how to do things and what equipment to use, but it also had tons of fun facts on the side of the pages. This is graphically pleasing, includes nutrional information (which I'm still not used to!) and has facts from around the world. This would make a great gift for a budding cook; it reminds me a little of the old Betty Crocker NEW Boys' and Girls' Cookbook. My only objection is that it is spiral bound, which holds up poorly in a library." said.

"Giveaway at Little Red Reads! http://littleredreads.blogspot.com/20...

The first thing that drew me to this cookbook is its sturdy construction and wire bound pages. Then once my kids came home from school I didn't get much of a chance to look at it since they wanted it. Which is always a good sign! This cookbook is kid approved. Each page has difficulty of the recipe, fun food facts, little known facts from Time magazine and the basic nutritional information, ingredients, serving size etc. The photos are sharp and take up much of the page since children are very visual.

My kiddos loved the "Here Comes Simon the Centipede" oreo dessert and poppy seed muffins best.

Mom's favorite is the after school snack section with easy to make and quick snacks for the family. My only wish is that there would have been a few more "just for fun" recipes instead of so many "more grown up" recipes. Make some designs out of fruit, give us bento box ideas.

But overall, we like!!

Thanks so much to Goodman Media for the book and for offering a giveaway!

"My five year old loves to help me cook and bake so when I was offered the chance to review this cookbook I snapped it up. It's full of kid friendly recipes like Applesauce Muffins, WOW! Waffles, Cheese Poppers and much, much more. My daughter had a blast trying out the recipes and sadly due to my old computer dying on me and my lack of backing up my picture photos I lost the pictures of her masterpieces!

Nonetheless, let me assure you that while some of them didn't turn out quite as nice looking at the pictures in the cookbook they were still tasty. So far our favorite has been the applesauce muffins and my two year old constantly asks for them for breakfast.

Besides the kid friendly recipes the other aspect my daughter really enjoyed were the nuggets of knowledge scattered through the pages. Each page has at least one fun fact in the side margins of the page. I'm actually amazed that months later my daughter still remembers that cinnamon is the dried bark of a tree. So whenever she sees anyone eating something with cinnamon in it she feels the need to share this fact. :)

The only downside for us is that a lot of these recipes were already ones we had in our collection of go to recipes. I was hoping for more fresh ideas but if you are just starting out looking for kid friendly recipes this is a nice cookbook to start off with.

"My son is an inspiring chef at the young age of 6. When given the opportunity to read and review this book I was so excited. I knew that my son would love it and it would offer us together time doing something he loved. When we go the book we looked though it, picked a recipe hit the store and then got to work. We made the Soup-er Quick Chicken Noodle Soup and it was easy, fun and it tasted great! Since the first recipe we have made so many great things, such as, Mixed Fruit Sunshine Smoothie, Wheel in the Sky Tortilla Pie and Easy and Perfect Vanilla Pudding. The recipes are easy and the book is spiral bound making looking at and following the recipes a snap. This book as provided me not only great new recipes that are tasty and easy...which has made menu planning easier, but is has given a gift of time and memories with my little inspiring chef!!! 5 stars!!!" said.
