" These are perfect read aloud books for my five and six year old boys. " said.

" Third book in the Kung Pow Chicken series. Fun read for fans of unlikely super heroes and readers who like a mix of comic/text. Grades 2-3 for independent reading.IRA Teacher Choice Project " said.

" Great books for kids. The little ones love every second of it, and my first grader re-reads them all himself as soon as we finish reading them as a group. I only gave it three stars because I don't enjoy reading them with my kids like I do with some of the other Branches book series. " said.

" Interesting plot with a Super Hero chicken and Zombies. Trying to have a graphic novel format. Not my personal genre of choice to read but I enjoyed the book because I knew a student or two who would find the zombie concept with super hero chicken funny. " said.

"I'd never have considered looking for a book that combines a plot concerning a chicken with superpowers--Kung-Pow Chicken--and his faithful sidekick Egg Drop with chickens staggering through the school halls and the city streets. As Gordon Blue quickly surmises, there is mischief afoot, and the chickens have been turned into zombies in search of brains. This one works well for young readers since it is filled with colorful illustrations, humor, and small amounts of text. It might not be my thing, but it will easily find an audience. " said.

"When his school and town starts filling up with zombie chickens, Gordon Blue must once again cast aside his everyday school life and save the day as the super here Kung Pow Chicken. With his trusty sidekick (and little brother) Eggdrop and some necessary but unwanted help from his friend Annie, Kung Pow foils the plan the evil Birdbrain who wants to turn the world into zombies so that he can be the smartest chicken. This early chapter book is an entertaining middle ground for readers not quite ready to let go of illustrations. The text is interspersed with full color illustrations. Recommended for purchase, ages 5-8" said.

" my daughter enjoys Kung Pow over all. the zombie thing bugged her out. " said.

" X likes them but these are very repetitive. " said.
