"I have so many good feels for this book because it brings back childhood memories. I'm pretty sure that this is the very first book I ever picked up to read. I was in kindergarten, and I remember having such a hard time reading it because I had only begun to learn how to read at that point, and I was more interested in the pictures than the text. Eventually, I had a pretty good enough understanding of the story after I got to the last page, even with a lot of difficulty on my part. I'm giving it 5 stars for no other reason than it being the first ever memory I have of reading, or trying to read. I look back now and I'm astonished that I still remember the title, but I guess that's because it made a mark on my memory as an important moment of my life. I didn't even know it was a Dr. Seuss book (I didn't remember that part, and I didn't even know who he was back then) until I looked it up today out of curiosity.

I love this book. I'm probably going to look for a copy and frame it or something, just to remind me always of this monumental memory of my first time reading ever.

"This is not one of my favorite Dr. Seuss (or Theo LeSieg) books, but my son (3 1/2) enjoyed it immensely. It's a bit different from the other Dr. Seuss books too, and the wittiness here lies not in the text but in the illustrations that come with it. Already on the first page, something is wrong with the picture. And at each turn of page, you will see more and more "wacky" things. It gets a bit repetitive, shoes turn up in the strangest places, there are "wacky" animals all over the place, heads and legs will be missing, things don't touch the ground ... But, my son laughed so hard at some of them that I couldn't but be smitten.

There's a lot to look for on every page, so it's takes a while to get through the book. And, sure, it can be instructive. Some of the "wrongs" are even somewhat subtle, such as misspellings of words, and different combinations of colors, stars and stripes in the American flag. So, if you're reading for your child, you can have him find the appropriate number of "wrongs" on each page spread. But, it's not a great read-aloud, for having to stop all the time to look for things it's hard to attain a good reading cadence and get the rhymes to flow. It's probably a better book for independent readers, and I know my little guy will be coming back to it soon to read it all by himself. He'll get a kick out of that.

" I didn't realize this was a search and find book! This ended up being a much longer storytime than expected, lol! " said.

" The celebration of Dr. Seuss continued today in period Kahn with this. My kids had a lot of fun. " said.

"1) No awards
2) Ages 3 and up
3) Wacky Wednesday is a story about a character who experiences an unordinary day that seems to be only existing in her eyes. She does not understand why the day keeps getting stranger and stranger. Throughout the day she keeps track of all the weird things that she encounters.
4) Wacky Wednesday is a great story to read aloud to students. It is a great way to engage all of the students in a fun way. The student can point out all of the things that are not right. It is also a great way to teach them that not everyday is going to be perfect, but to just power through.
5) This book is great to read in the beginning of the day to get your students alert or for transitions during the day to eliminate energy. The children can then draw a picture or write about their craziest experience.

" good fun with babies trying to find differences. however it might be better to have it read with children over 4. " said.

" Kids love this book because they can look for all the wacky mistakes on the pages. I find it a bit annoying when you have to look for 20 mistakes on one page- very difficult to keep track of them all! " said.

" Surrealism for Beginners. My babysitters must have become so sick of reading this with me. " said.
