"My children are 3,6, and 8. They all love joke books and were laughing all the way through this book. They have already started repeating some of the jokes to their friends! If you want a book that will keep your child entertained, as well as help them learn some fun facts about animals, I highly recommend this book!" Amanda said.
"I have to say in all honesty I feel this book is a wonderful tool to introduce children in learning to read. I wish I had it when my two were little. As I read the sentences I felt that a smile would come on any child’s face and spark an interest in not only reading but actually learning. Each joke captures the imagination with the drawings and words that the child finds learning fun and soon can read on his /he own. I happened to show this book to my daughter who is a preschool teacher and she plans on using it for her story time session this week. I know this book is geared to the child aged 5-9 and my daughter’s students are 3 and 4 but I have seen some wonderful strides her students have done when presented with stimulating material to hold their interests and allow them to explore their potential. She is going to recommend this book to the director of the school for the other preschool classes to give all the students chance to experience this wonderful approach to reading." "This book is perfect to read to small children, but it I also fun to read it by yourself! There are so many funny jokes included in its pages that will have you chuckling. Aside from the jokes, this book also gives cute factual facts that little kids can easily learn as they are accompanied by pictures. This book is not only about the humor. It also contains a very informative list towards the end of the book that details certain words that cannot be sounded out. This could actually be used as a form of study guide for the younger ones. Definitely a fun read and would be an excellent addition to a classroom" Yessica Gray said.
"This book contains some really great jokes for young kids, and I like the fact it is so educational at the same time. The illustrations are great for keeping the kids occupied and there is a great mix between funny jokes to entertain kids and facts about animals to educate them whilst teaching them sight words. Its something you can pick up at any time and read to the kids for a bit of fun learning." Ollie said.
"I read this with my son who is in Kindergarten. The first time I read it with him he wanted to read more! I love how this book not only has jokes but gives facts mixed in with the jokes. It is a little above his reading level but in time he will be reading it all by himself! I recommend this book to anyone who has a smile child who loves jokes, animals and animal facts!" "It's definitely a great joke book for the kids. It combines jokes and learning to bring about a wonderful learning experience. It comes with excellent illustrations too.
Though some of the jokes might not be understood by children, it is good for learning the sight words.
It's definitely a must read for the kids." Maureen Ruguru said.
"This book has humorous pictures with fun illustrations, repetitive text, and sight words for the beginning reader. I now have 101 jokes on animals to share with my kids. I really love it." Joseph K. said.
"The simple puns show the fun side of playing with words’ meaning. The pictures are well-drawn and provide a visual image of the joke it correlates with, giving children good practice in visualizing the characters (a useful reading tactic). The sight word list is also helpful practice, because the list includes words that can’t be sounded out. The only drawbacks are a few unclear jokes and grammatical errors that I’m sure parents would catch and correct while their children read it." Jamesa B said.
