"Nonfiction/Twin Text Entry #5

This informational nonfiction book is an interactive nonfiction book. This book covers a lot of material in relation to New York City, in a very interactive way. It combines history, facts, and other information with interactive activities so young readers can use a number of skills to learn about New York City, and traveling as a whole. A fiction book that came to mind relating to this is the book called, Last Stop on Market Street by Patricia Brennan Demuth. This books tells the story of a boy and his mother, and their experience with urban life. Although Last Stop on Market street does not directly relate to New York City, it relates to city life, and traveling. Also, even though Last Stop on Market Street is best suited for primary grade level students, it would be a good book to incorporate more in depth thinking for intermediate grade level students. With that, Kids' Travel Guide: New York City can also be for primary grade level students. If they receive some help from a teacher, or a parent they can do the activities in the book, but overall it is intended mainly for intermediate grade level students. However, both of these books are flexible in regards to the intended audience.
