"Once again Andrea Winters has brilliantly taken us to our oceans and interwoven one of the biggest and amazing sea creatures with characteristic pictures that'll have your kids diving to see the next page with anticipation!" said.

"Whales are such a beautiful animal! Where we live we can see whales for about 5 months of the year as they travel north or back south again. Andrea does a great job of sharing many interesting facts on these amazing creatures that kids are sure to find fun to learn.

As an adult, I still learned new things from this book. I was not aware that whales keep one half of their brain awake while they are actually asleep! If you have any kids in your family that love nature and animals then grab a copy of this book to share with them.

"This is a great book filled with interesting facts about whales and fantastic pictures! You'll learn so much about whales: why they are mammals rather than fish; their size ranges; what they eat; the two types of whales, with great pictures and descriptions of each; their life cycle; how they play and sleep; and their whale song. The speed at which these whale songs travel is four times as fast in the ocean as on the ocean's surface, and a whale song can last as long as a half hour. Of the various forms of play, my favorite was spyhopping--I like the name and am amazed that a whale can "stand" up in the water with half of its body above water for several minutes at a time. I've always thought it would be fun to go whale watching, and now I'm even more interested in doing so." said.

"So informative and not just for kids! Maybe one of the best Kindle freebies if you love learning about whales. Filled with beautiful photos and great facts.

I learned the largest creature on the planet is the Blue Whale and it can grow up to 110 feet long and weigh 420,000 pounds. It can make sounds louder than a jet engine which can be heard 1000 miles away. Wow! Now think about this.........falling overboard into the ocean and this whale comes cruising by. Have mercy!
