"This is part of the "Learn to Read Holiday Series" from Creative Teaching Press. It does have one phrase that is repeated three times, but the rest of the text in non-repetitive and has some vocabulary words that might be tough for non-Spanish speaking readers. I wouldn't use this book as an independent read below a transitional reader.

The pictures are pastel cartoons. There is not much plot to the book or real learning about Cinco de Mayo, but it is a quick read to use for tudents to practice reading.
