Narwhal: Unicorn of the Sea (A Narwhal and Jelly Book) Reviews

"Cute Graphic Novel for Early Readers
In Unicorn of the Sea, there are three separate stories: 1) Narwhal meets Jelly, 2) Narwhal forms a pod, and 3) Narwhal shows Jelly the best book ever. In between the stories, Clanton provides facts about narwhals and jellyfish. In the third story (my favorite), Narwhal shows Jelly his favorite book, which has blank pages, and he teaches Jelly how to use his imagination. The illustrations are bright and simple, with just a few panels per page or full-page illustrations, making it perfect for young readers on their first journey with sequential art.
This was a very cute story that I really enjoyed. Another good selection for young readers.

" Laughed out loud reading funny looks....Cute book! Light, amusing, with simply drawn characters that convey a lot of energy and enthusiasm. " said.

" This book is hilarious! I think that adults will enjoy it as much as their children do! " said.

" Narwhal is just so cool. I want to join his pod and wear a bone tooth on my head with the shark and turtle and jellyfish too. The unicorn of the sea is friends with the jelly of the sea, and it's a wonderful friendship with contrasts that just works magnificently. I'm totally going to buy this for my niece. " said.

"How cute is this comic?! I'll tell you, it's way cute! A narwhal and a jellyfish eat waffles and use the power of their imaginations. Narwhal is so adorable I want to cry and Jelly is awesome. Plus I learned things! Like how a group of jellyfish is called a smack!!? Yeah, I didn't know that either.

This comic is adorbs and one that I would love to display on my shelves. The illustrations are simple, colorful and so cute it's hard not to love them.

Shoutout to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. I <3 Narwhal!

"My kiddo posted the review on her blog KK's Books And Reviews

This book is adorable! All three kids enjoyed it. So cute!

This is so cute! I really enjoy this because it's a comic and it's just plain......AWESOME. My baby sister loves this, she just giggles, laugh, and asks questions like," Why does the fishy have a horn?", and , " Is this a slippery fish?, (aka Slippery Fish from "YouTube.") My favorite part is when Narwhal makes a new friend and they eat waffles at the end. Even though there are 3 comics in there, they all end with eating waffles. They are short though, they're like 4 pages long EACH.

" Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for providing me with a free copy in exchange for an honest review!

I am obviously not a children's books reader, but I have this weird obsession with Narwhals, and this seemed beyond cute so I had to check it out! I think this is an amazing children's book, with a really cute and fun writing style. It was also quite funny at times and had some philosophical undertones to it, which I always think it's great, since that way it's fun for the people who read it to kids too.
The issue I had with this is that it didn't exactly follow any storyline, so it was a bit incoherent, and since I am an adult reading this, I could not really enjoy it the way a child might.

However, I think that this is a wonderful children's book which I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a new book for your kid.

I was super excited to learn about 'a the Unicorn of the Sea' book. I initially planned on reading it on my Kindle but it looked so cute, I bought a paperback copy. It is part of a new series called 'Narwhal and Jelly'. One of my 'tater tots' loves Narwhal' so this book was perfect for us.

Inside it is laid out like a graphic novel and has really fun illustrations. There is also educational information throughout the story.

We loved 'Narwhal and Jelly's' friendship. We also really loved that their favorite food is waffles!

We had fun reading it and is it perfect for ages 8-10. We plan on getting the others in the series. This review was originally posted on The Book return...
