" Really beautiful book covering the topic of death. It's simplistic and doesn't hide anything or try to make death into some creative metaphor. Erlbruch knows that kids are smart and he tells what death is straight to them and at the end of the book, you don't seem to mind. The art style is gorgeous! " said.

" “For a long time he watched her. When she was lost to sight, he was almost a little moved. But that's life, thought death.” it's just BEAUTIFUL.. I’ve never seen anything like it.. yes, it is sad but yet somehow comforting.. a book that will stay with you long after you've finished reading it! " said.

" I loved the friendship built up between the duck and death. This was a very moving story! " said.

" Life embraces death in this wonderfully witty, profoundly moving, elegantly crafted story. " said.

" It's like an odd poem and it is beautifully illustrated. I wouldn't give it to somebody under 20 though :) " said.

" Ein wunderschönes Bilderkinderbuch, das auf ganz sanfte Art und Weise den Tod und seine Zugehörigkeit zum Leben vorstellt. " said.

" Lovely. I particularly like the cutout colored pencil drawings. Like Death in the story, you will be moved. " said.

" Excelente para explicar la muerte a los niños, para explicársela unx mismx, para buscar consuelo, para saber de qué se trata morir sin tener miedo. " said.
