" Love this book. I got it from the library but I am definitely putting it on my purchasing list. " said.

" This is a thoroughly fascinating, informative book full of great illustrations and descriptions of unusual deep water creatures. " said.

" A beautifully illustrated overview of the wide variety of ocean life, from surface to floor, that make up the vast majority of living things on the planet. " said.

" Genre: Informational Grade Level: PreK-2This book is a great book to show what kind of animals are in the ocean. The illustrations are very interesting and captivating. These make it perfect for young children who love the ocean or sea creatures. " said.

" Super cool. Start with a long view of the earth, then pierce the surface and see the animals at various depths of the ocean. Bright illustrations. Spoiler- it gets creepier down deep! Back matter provides further detail. " said.

"Down, Down, Down: A Journey to the Bottom of the Sea by Steve Jenkins shows and explains the conditions at different depths of the ocean and the different animals that live there from the surface of the ocean to The Marianas Trench, the deepest spot in the ocean. The paper collage illustrations while simple are detailed enough to accurately depict many of the animals of the ocean. The unusual animals and intriguing facts about the earth’s oceans will draw in children in the middle and upper elementary grades. " said.

" Another great book I wish I had known about when I was teaching my third graders. Great information and illustrations. Many age ranges will love this book. At the back of the book is additional information for those who need extra research done for them. " said.

" I cannot possibly write a better review than my friend Dar who shared this book with me. The illustrations are wonderful! The charts are extremely useful. The short write-ups work well with the purpose of the book. All around, a great book to share with young children (though not really young, since some of the illustrations may prove too scary).
