" A silly concept that has a little twist at the end. Big bold illustations add. " said.

" Certainly cute humor but I am not convinced just the idea of a ninja being able to evade a mosquito is enough material for an entire children's book narrative. I wanted more. " said.

" A cute read-aloud that children will enjoy for the nonsensical humor and the cartoonish illustrations. I especially liked the mosquito's expressions as it was foiled in its pursuit again and again by the stealthier, quicker, trickier ninja. Great style and use of color by author/illustrator Jordan Novak. " said.

"Did you know that ninjas can evade mosquitoes by being faster, sneakier, and better at hiding? A young ninja dodges a determined mosquito. And while a mosquito can't bite a ninja, a ninja might bite a mosquito that lands in his jelly sandwich.

Kind of charming and I liked the parts about the ninja avoiding the mosquito. The second half of this fairly short book felt disconnected and choppy. Ninja loving readers will get over this and enjoy this clever little ninja as he proves that ninjas can outwit a pesky mosquito.

"Mosquitoes Can't Bite Ninjas is one of those picture books that both surprise and delight with how clever it is.

Jordan P. Novak tells a tale about mosquitoes facing off against ninjas, and how ninjas can constantly outsmart their winged foe. But there are moments that even ninjas will let their guards down, and Novak details those moments hilariously...

What's surprisingly great about Mosquitoes Can't Bite Ninjas, is that it's both quirky, but it's also a lateral tale about a fear of bugs. Novak's book appeals perfectly to young readers who may be fearful of bugs like mosquitoes, and details just how kids can be clever at evading them. But Novak smartly cautions that even the most quick-witted person can't always evade, and it's just something that happens.

It's a smart lesson, which will be appreciated by readers both young and old. With illustrations that are bright and cheerful, this is a must-read for any reader.
