" I love this series about Laken Sumner, a girl who communicates with wild animals and lives in a sleepy East Coast town. Book two of the Sunset Trilogy is even better as the plot thickens and relationships heat up all around. You are sure to love the second book as much or greater than the first, and prepare to dive right into book three. Laken will make you crave to know the answers to her heart and reveal the untold secrets of the past. This is another page turner that promises to thrill. " said.

"I really like this series about a simple small town girl, who finds her world turned upside down, by a multitude of secrets that start to unravel in book two, of the Sunset series. If you read book one, you wont be surprised that Royston leaves you with a "Stay Tuned" ending. I don't usually read trilogies, because I usually find myself bored by the second book, no matter how good the first story is. That being said, I have to tell you I think the second book is even better than the first and I am actively reading the third. I can't get enough of this story and can't wait to find out how it ends...but then there is the bittersweet, no more story. I judge a book by how much I want to read it. I have read the first two novels when I woke up, before I went to bed, before the gym, in the doctors office from my phone, and any time I had to snatch a few more pages. It is a great trilogy with interesting characters and an intrigue that leave you wanting more." said.

" Loved it! I'm so glad I picked up Silence at Midnight. I really enjoyed learning more about Laken, Noah, and Xander as their characters continued to develop throughout the story. I began to really care about what happened to the characters. Kudos to Ms. Royston - she had me hooked! " said.

"Silence at Midnight is the sequel to Shadows at Sunset and the story begins where it left off. We delve a bit deeper into the enigma surrounding Laken and her gift of talking to animals. Then, Laken has a discovery that rocks her world, (I never leave spoilers) and the contact with a mysterious man has her again apprehensive and scared. Silence at Midnight is an easy read with some twists.

The author, Tonya Royston is a prolific writer, and has again left the reader wanting more. Which means I need to read the final book, Surrender at Sunrise to get all the answers.

"SILENCE AT MIDNIGHT is the second book in the serial Sunset Trilogy featuring Laken Sumner, a girl with a very special gift. After a huge scare from a strange man and an unknown pack of wolves, Laken tries to forget about the new strangeness in town. She’s trying to enjoy her new relationship with Noah and work on her history project with Xander. SILENCE AT MIDNIGHT builds on the characters we met in SHADOWS AT SUNSET and draws readers deeper into Laken’s world. Allegiances change and doubts creep in about who can be trusted and who is out to cause trouble. SILENCE AT MIDNIGHT is well-written, exposing new and dangerous secrets in this small New England town. I am looking forward to seeing how everything turns out for Laken." said.

" "Silence at Midnight" is a worthy sequel to "Shadows at Sunset." Laken is a personable and believable character. The author makes the reader care about her. Royston's appealing writing style takes the reader on a wonderful, twisting journey. The reader won't want to put this book down until the last page. I look forward to the final book in this trilogy. " This book felt like a bridge to me - the middle of the story. It seemed a little slow at times, but it also had some scenes that I really loved. And those scenes were all important to the story. The piece of history sprinkled into this volume is one of my favorite things about this book, since it embodies compassion and helping people instead of the war and violence so prevalent throughout history. Well, that's my comment on this one! " said.
