" Read this to my nephew - not that a graphic novel is the easiest thing to read. Some of the dialogue was a bit patronising and sexist - but it is historical. An opportunity for discussions about changes in attitudes over time. " said.

"Non-fiction graphic novels hold a special place in my heart. Where were these when I was a kid? Now that I am old I love reading about history and some of the fascinating individuals who left their mark in the world. However, when I was younger it always felt like school work and should be avoided. I would like to think if reading had been made more fun for me as a child I would have done better in school. Here's hoping these books inspire this generation, I already see them doing so for my daughter.

This entertaining quick read about Amelia Earhart was very nicely done. Not as extensive as other graphic novels I have read, but still very much enjoyed, it would be a wonderful addition to any grade school classroom or library.
