" Piper Morgan finds herself at a pool shop, where her mom works, and she’s looking to be in a commercial to advertise the shop. The conflicts were amusing and the splash facts interspersed throughout are interesting (I definitely learned some things reading them). This is an enjoyable chapter book series and I look forward to Piper’s next destination. " said.

" Another adorable read from Stephanie Faris!! In this Piper Morgan adventure, she goes to work with her mom at a pool shop. Piper's number one goal is to prove to her mom she's mature enough to be in the store's commercial. There is a ton of humor and fun as Piper attempts to showcase her responsibility! Recommend this one to anyone looking for the perfect chapter book for their kids. " said.

"A hot summer day. A swimming pool with cool water. What more could a girl want? The delightful Piper Morgan is back with a new adventure.

In PIPER MORGAN MAKES A SPLASH, the latest story in the Piper Morgan series for young readers, Piper’s mom has a new job at the pool place, which leads to all sorts of fun for Piper, or so she hopes. Will Piper get her own pool? Will she have a chance to do a commercial, like the man on TV? She seems to find trouble whatever she does. Piper is smart, and she tries to be good. She also knows when she messes up.

Throughout the book, black and white illustrations by Lucy Fleming add to the fun of the story. Also, each chapter ends with an interesting “Splash Fact.”

Stephanie Faris has created a cast of characters that could be a real family. Young readers might relate to Piper when her plans don’t always turn out the way she wants them to. I recommend this story and the other books in the series for young readers and older ones, who enjoy a fun read, too. These books would make a great addition to elementary school classrooms and libraries, as well as your own library.

"Faris, Stephanie Piper Morgan Makes a Splash (Piper Morgan #4), illustrated by Lucy Fleming. CHAPTER BOOK. Simon & Schuster, 2017. $5.99. Content: G.

In the fourth installment of the series, Piper's mom now has a temp job working at a local pool store. When Piper discovers that the store is about to give its famous commercial a makeover, she's determined to be in it. But her attempts, well, end up all wet.

Piper is cute and fun, and the breezy writing and action-packed story make for a quick read. Unfortunately, Piper is also fairly self-centered, and that makes it hard to root for her all the time. It's also difficult to believe that some of her mistakes don't have more consequences.
