" This one was on our list for one of the top children's books of all time. I don't get it. Can someone please tell me what the appeal is in this mediocre book with lackluster illustrations? My children paid attention but perhaps we're used to such rich and detailed authors this one fell short for us. A book that was forgotten almost as soon as it was read, this one won't be added to our collection. " midnightfaerie said.
"This book holds a special place in my heart. My mother used to read it to my brother and me all
the time when we were younger, until she grew so tired of it that she bought it for us on cassette and we played it enough times that the tape became messed up. The illustrations are phenomenal, the wording light and simple. It's something we can all relate to, saying no goodnight to anything and everyone, just to prolong our bedtime. I'm glad that, at the ripe old age of 22, I bought my own copy and shared it with someone dear to me. " Asha said.
" For shame! My grandson doesn't care for this book. I ranted and raved for a good ten minutes when he refused to let me read it to him. He found this (the ranting) hysterical which only made me angrier. "You will read this!"Toothy grin."Look! There's a little mouse on every page that you can find."Toothy shrug."Logan, this is a classic!"Toothy, wet sneeze.Logan toddles over with . Give me strength. " Maicie said.
Goodnight Caleb jumping over the moon."
I've read this one to Caleb multiple times because we love it! He seems to enjoy it (as much as a 6 month old can), and looks at the pages (for the most part). I like to read this one because it has good rhythm, fun rhymes, and it flows well. I find it easy and enjoyable to read aloud. This is quickly becoming a favorite and one I'd be happy to read to him every day! Trying to expand our horizons a bit though, and read other ones too. ;)

" There's something deep about this bedtime story and I can't put my finger on it.Is it the emptiness? The way everything goes to sleep? Here's a narrated version of the story: http://youtu.be/9yu_g5x3ZoQGoodnight stars, goodnight air..Goodnight noises, everywhere.. " Mohammed Al-Garawi said.
" Thanks to my young cousins, I get to read plenty of kids books. And I am glad that I do. Growing up, we don't realise how wonderful such books are. With the lilting rhyme and the beautiful illustrations, it has got to be one of my favourite bed time books for when I need to read something with my cousins. " Quirky Omega said.
