" Full of interesting facts, although I do not love the art work. " said.

" Great introduction to one of the most hardworking first ladies of our history. Written like a comic book. " said.

" I really love Eleanor Roosevelt and think she is an incredible role model and person in history. I didn't think this book did her justice. It is probably a good place to start for some background, but I felt like her character was tampered down and so were her accomplishments. " said.

"Thank You Ryan Jacobson and illustradors Gordon Purcell and Barbara Schulz for this colorful, inspiring account of Eleanor Roosevelt. The book begins in the year 1892. A building near where I am reading is inscribed with this number, also 2 of my 16 great grandparents are recorded as being married that year. It's a blessing to be able to connect with history and the graceful works of the people who lived in the past. Thank You also for publishing in the two languages - Spanish and English.

"It's my duty to recognize her as the LEGEND she came to be and that she lived life and set standards with motivation, determination, tenacity, hard work, elegance and grace!

I applaud the nuance that the artist used to add to the written story:
-Remembering to show her giving a press conference to women only even though the fact was in the back of the book
-Her funeral making sure the black singer was there but in the back corner with a white guy scowling at her to show that at that time Jim Crow was still going to funerals
-The color of the crowd in the front at the Lincoln Memorial concert (above singer and above issue)
-FDR's mother's facial expressions in her cameos when he gets polio and at his funeral
-MANY OTHERS, ESPECIALLY THE CLOTHING, CHOICE OF "EXTRAS" AND THE SETTINGS...
but I saved my favorites for last:
-Her unique facial structure and the progressions of her hair as it aged stylishly
-Her just-below-the-knees skirt showing her still tight gams in her late 60s to the guys on the aircraft carrier headed to war!
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY= ELEANOR'S HATS!! NO WOMAN OR MAN HAD OR WILL EVER HAVE ELEANOR'S KEENLY SUITED AND ALWAYS APPROPRIATE HAT GAME!!!
