"This is a coffee table picture book. Not much history here to get your arm around. Although it is titled "10,000" Days of Thunder, I doubt there are even a thousand written words in this book. this was a rip off." David said.
"Although this book was slick and pretty, and written by someone who was there, i thought it was lacking in substance. By that I mean it was short and did not go into either enough detail or just hit the high spots. It probably would be a good children"s book." Pa Pa said.
"I had read another of Caputo's books, "A Rumor of War", several years ago and happened upon this one. While it wasn't what I was expecting because I didn't check it out thoroughly prior to purchasing, it is a fact filled book that is a great primer for anyone who wants to learn about Viet Nam as well as a filler for those of us who thought we knew it all." Paul J. Tabone said.
"This was a great book to teach my kids about the Vietnam war in upper elementary. We took it slow. I think you need to with this subject material. It generated a lot of conversation, not just about war, but human character." Mandy E. Riddle said.
"I love PCs writing and liked how clear and simplified this was. Not just for teenagers, it was informative and well done" Brendan P McCarthy said.
