" Corrie ten Boom is an amazing woman. There was a lot of good info in this book about her, but I think there are better books. Her story is hard to read no matter what, but this was a little easier to read to children. I just felt like they left out some of the great stories of faith, miracles, and forgiveness. " said.

" This book, as do many of the Benge's biographies, begins the first chapter in the middle of the story to capture the reader's attention. The second chapter goes back to Corrie's younger days and shows the reader of her background and heart for service. This biography is a great introduction to Corrie Ten Boom for children or those unfamiliar with her life. If you are already familiar with her story, read her own words in The Hiding Place, and A Prisoner and Yet.... " said.

" I'm not judging this one by the writing style. I'm going to judge from the events of the book. I don't review religious books on my blog, so I'll just say a few words here. I'm judging this because you can clearly see God's miracles through her, and it's simply so interesting to read her experiences through this novel. One of my favorite reads! :)1. God chooses to work through people.2. He works through anyone if you step out into the light in faith. " said.

" I really lilke the Christian Heroes Then and Now series. This book was no exception. Having read The Hiding Place in the past, this book tells Corrie's story for the younger readers, but still gets the point across of her and her families horrific treatment by the Nazi's during World War II. You see the Ten Boom's unshakable faith and their love for the Jewish people as they sacrificed so much to save and help them. Wonderful story. " said.

"I've been looking for a serious of missionary/Christian heroes books to recommend and if the authors other books are told on a fashion similar to this than I think I have found what I was looking for. The courage and faith exhibited by all the members of the ten Boom family is most encouraging and challenging. Bettsie's compassion towards her captors and Corrie's tenacious interest in getting and keeping a Bible is inspiring. I take owning a bible so lightly, but to them it was simply a matter of life and death. I lol forward to reading more of these author's stories." said.

"I read this book just to refresh my memories on Corrie ten Boom's story, and it was perfect for that. It was short, yet still informative, giving you a good overview of her life. But I found myself longing for more details sometimes. After reading 'The Hiding Place" and "Tramp for the Lord" hearing just the basics of her life is like having eaten meat all week long then being handed a bowl of watered down soup and saying its just as nourishing. Yes, bad metaphor, but you get the point.

Corrie ten Boom was an amazing lady and this book only scratches the surface of all the amazing things God did through her life.

"I've only ever read one other book about Corrie Ten Boom. It was called Jesus is Victor, and is actually written by Corrie herself. While it told amazing true stories about Corrie's life, I never really got the whole story. Corrie Ten Boom: Keeper of the Angel's Den, gave that to me. I did not actually realize how Corrie and her sister Betsie came to be in the prisons and horrible concentration camps with the Jews until I read this book.

Corrie Ten Boom: Keeper of the Angel's Den takes us on a terrifying, yet amazing journey, starting from before Holland (Corrie's homeland) came to be involved in the war. My eyes were opened once again to how incredible awful the Holocaust was... even though this book didn't go into too much detail.

I think everyone should open up this story about Corrie Ten Boom. For one, to remember that horrific time, to guard against history repeating itself. Another important reason, is to see that God was still there! He carried Corrie through, and gave her AMAZING ministry opportunities through her oppressive years with the persecuted Jews. Jesus IS victor. How incredibly sweet that Corrie could still see that, even after the horrors she had suffered.

I read this book for school... but found myself excited to read it each day. Well written, historical, interesting, thought-provoking. Corrie's story told.

" We read this book for school and we were all captivated as we wanted to find out what happened to Corrie. Great testimonies of God's faithfulness even in the darkest of times. " said.
