" Fun period crafts for girls. If you don't like sewing though, this might not be the book for you. " said.

" I really enjoy the mix of fun crafts and history. I like being able to try out things that kids in Samantha's time would have done. " said.

"I enjoyed reading crafts that Samantha would have done in the early nineteen hundreds. My favorite thing was the embroidered handkerchief, and I have cloth, patterns, and am making one right now. I think that I could do some pretty awesome things with the crafts in the book. The toss pillow is one item in the book that normally reappears in most of the American Girl craft books. I don`t think I could ever make one because I don`t have the things to make it with! " said.

"Our primary school's library was stocked with American Girl Series books. We had Molly, Samantha, Kirsten, Felicity and Addy. I read all of them. Molly, Samantha and Addy were my favourites and I didn't quite much fancy Kirsten and Felicity. I can't remember anything about them except one of them made lots of apple pies. At some point I acquired Samantha's Craftbook, must have been from school but I claimed ownership meaning, it was never returned to the library. :D I put it to use. Much use. This is one of the things that made childhood fun. So much for an African girl loving American girls. Back then, it didn't occur to me that they were Americans and I was African, I just loved reading about them. " said.
