"This is a helpful introduction to the differences between boys and girls, beginning at a young age. Some parents may not appreciate the drawing of a naked little boy and girl at this age, and I respect that. I found the book as a whole to provide a gentle background to exploring human sexuality at later ages. It helps to demystify what is often a taboo subject, and it does so in the context of loving, Christian families. This is a tricky subject, and it would be difficult for anyone to earn a perfect rating in presenting it, but I thought this series worked very well for me and for my daughters." Amaris O. "This is definitely a beginner, beginner book to this topic. My 3-year-old loved it, but it was a little babyish for my 6-year-old. The 3-year-old (a girl) was carrying around the book on the page with the drawing of a naked little boy and girl, saying "Mommy! This is what I have and this is what (brother) has!!"
It was a great book for her to cement the fact that each gender is different, and we can all embrace how we've been created. But I think my quiet 6-year-old was probably left thinking "Duh..."" E. Bradley said.
"This is adorably and gently written in a fun way that kids will enjoy reading without being awkward for parents. (Yet!)
One note is that the boys book and the girls book are pretty much exactly the same other than the front cover. I bought one for each kid and ended up giving one away." Anne Ferris said.
"All of the books written for boys worked out great! I have a son that is Special needs had no interest in learning the facts. He has a true Christian Heart that goes beyond anything I could have taught. It has always been like he knew it already. This was a way to explain without going against how he felt. It has everything you want, need, and a little you may not want to know but it is out there. All areas are covered without losing God in the process. If are just a believer in God or not a believer this still covers all the facts at each appropriate ages. I think the one for 15 plus is okay for your 13 year old to cover also. Really good set for teaching! ! I highly, highly recommend!" Pammy said.
"Good text and sensitive approach to sex education for Christian parents. Could have dealt with awareness of protecting our bodies from othersand it would have been five stars." Auvigirl said.
"We have 2 boys and 2 girls so they have known boys and girls are different for some time. This was a nice gentle book to introduce the subject until we have to take it to the next level. Dont waste your money on buying the boys and girls version. This book is perfect for everyone in the family, not just my daughters. It's a better book for my 4 year old. My 6 year was a little old for it." Mommyx4 said.
