" I really liked this book. Not only is it a great introduction to basic needlework (I'm not a knitter, and kind of skipped over those parts), but it also has some awesome beginner projects in it. " said.

"I liked this book, except for the dissing of feminism in the into to this book ("Then, in the 1960's, with the advent of the feminist movement, needlework dwindled in popularity" p.5) Now, you could argue that needlework was actually MORE popular in the '60s because of the hippie movement, you could also argue that overall, arts and crafts popularity "dwindled" because of the cuts to art education.... Anyhow, I just thought that was uncalled for in this particular book targeted at young girls. But I digress, there are some cute projects in each chapter, and nice sturdy pages!" said.
