"This is an excellent book for any leader wanting to educate her troop on the history of Girl Scouts. There are many badges at the Brownie and Junior level that can be earned, in part, by using this book. It is written at a level for girls of all ages. I hope Ms. Hunt continues this series to present day uniforms with the diary notes. Very interesting book. Thanks." CAR said.
"Imagine my delight as a paper doll collector to find these beautiful books about Girl Scouts. Imagine my further delight to find that the author is Kathryn McMurtry Hunt, who was in my Brownie and Girl Scout groups long ago in Lubbock, Texas! They are beautifully done and sure to bring on a great big Brownie smile for Girl Scouts current and long past!" Jean Patterson said.
"A hat was missing from a costume page. I had a new book sent, but the hat was still missing. Apparently, the entire book printing had left the hat out. It appears to be the hat that the adult woman is wearing on the front cover." texaszippeee said.
"This set is very nicely done. I love showing my granddaughters how we took such pride in our Girl Scout uniforms back in "our day". They can't wait to play with them. The little descriptions on back of the outfits tell the story add so much life to them and the diaries of the girls give a peek into the past. The paper is high quality and the details are so good." Catherine said.
"It gave me my own Girl Scout history, from the 1940s. I used the pictures for "time travel" with several groups of young Girl Scouts." Elaine A. Jenks said.
"Book came with slight damage and some black stuff on the cover. The black stuff was removed fairly easily but I dislike being sent a product with goo on it." Kaitlyn Jones said.
