" Straight-shooting, great pictures, interesting story. " said.

" A great high-interest book that is good for kiddos learning how to read. I really like how interesting vocabulary was utilized; often, early reader books are overly simple but this book has engaging text! " said.

"This book focuses on the experiences of a female cheetah and her cubs trying to survive on the African plains. Cheetahs while being the fastest land animal on the planet have a disadvantage when it comes to hunting. They simply are not strong enough to hold off other predators, like lions or hyenas, who wish to take their kill. In addition, a female cheetah must protect her cubs from not only other predators but other cheetahs (usually males) as well. Sita has proved to be a model mother, not only keeping her cubs fed, but protecting them from the dangers of life in the wild to the best of her ability. But neither Sita nor her cubs can avoid all the dangers that surround them. The photographs in this book are fabulous and the writing is solid and interesting. The book is a good choice for students just learning to read and interested in the natural world." said.
