"I expected this to be a little kids' book with super simplified anatomy. What I got was a large, colorful and entertaining encyclopedia-esque book geared probably toward the 8-12-year-old range. Anatomy and physiology are simplified to this age group, but the author still uses correct medical and anatomical terms (complete with pronunciations). It includes all kinds of fun facts and stories. The graphics are really good. I think it's a great reference for a kid who wants to learn the basics about the body or a parent who wants their kid to know the basics about the body." said.
