" I have to say that I feel that American girl is doing amazing things by writing books about real people. I hope they will write a lot more of them. Because girls need to read books like this " said.

" Super cool! American Girl, brilliant that you've started this series! =) " said.

" Definitely the Hillary story through rose-colored glasses but accessible to a younger crowd that will inspire girls to do things that others say they can't. " said.

"I love that American girl is doing a series on powerful women, there and many stories and women to write about.

I wish there was a bit more detail and that the book was longer though, I know it’s aimed at a young audience but it still felt like they could have explored more and written more within the book.

But it’s still awesome that these books are in existence to help show children about powerful women and how they can make a huge difference in the world even if they are told no and rejected many times.

"Part of the "A Girl Named..." American Girl series, this slim biography features the woman who ran for President on behalf of one of the major political parties in 2016. Six chapters provide a brief overview of the formative years, political activism, and various jobs held by Hillary Rodham Clinton. Young readers may draw some inspiration from her persistence, resilience, and her involvement with issues concerning women and children. While she's clearly had much success, she hasn't always won or been the best at whatever she has done, but the message here is clear--Never give up. The book features colorful cartoon-like illustrations and even the profile of Alena, a girl who just might grow up to follow in Hillary's footsteps. I wish there had been more about her activism, her politics, and that the book had featured more images of her in her glasses instead of so many illustrations of the sleekly-styled, white pant suit-wearing Presidential candidate. Still, the book may inspire others to learn more about this groundbreaking woman. " said.
