" The book Home for the Holidays, by Heather Vogel Frederick, is a very interesting and fun loving book. Becca, Emma, Megan, Cassidy and Jess have plenty of reading material to bring on their trips over the course of the book. These girls are all apart of a mother-daughter book club and are assigned to read books on there own books.

I found the book to be very interesting. Although at times it was hard to follow who was narrating each chapter the book was very well written. The author used good figurative language such as imagery, and detailed descriptions. Since the book was narrated by so many different girls it was hard for me to really connect with the characters because they had limited time to talk about their thoughts and feelings. Although it was hard to connect with the characters i found myself to really enjoy the book. The book was overall very sweet despite some confusion. I really enjoyed this book.

" It's like a love letter to the books--and their fans. " said.

" Fuun!Emma seemed a little long winded and boring with her writing thoughts all written out.I like this series, and this is the second time I read the book, so it wasn't a surprise that I liked it. " said.

"Earlier this year I was introduced to both the Betsy-Tacy books and to Heather Vogel Frederick's Mother-Daughter Book Club, and I fell in love on both scores. It turns out that HVF too is a BT fan, and this book spectacularly brings both series together. In their sophomore year of high school, the girls of the M-DBC read the Betsy-Tacy series, and the result is classic Maud and classic HVF. At the end of this book there was nothing to do but sigh contentedly and reach for Heaven to Betsy for a long-overdue reread. " said.
