" A short and really lackluster detailing of Madison and his wife. Gives the most basic framework of their lives. " said.

" While having some good facts about the time and a few of the key people who helped to form our new government, this book was choppy and poorly written. " said.

" Adequate, but no more. Much better books out there that really bring the Madisons to life. Is Adler getting bored with this form? " said.

" I am a Big fan of Dolley Madison anyway cause man she saved art when Washington was being burned. She rocks. This is a great story of the two and highlights an important president and an important time in history. Grades 2+ " said.

" Features the lives and accomplishments of James and Dolley Madison, including their childhoods, courtship, and how each of them played an important part in the War of 1812 during James' presidency. Sometimes learning facts about history can be boring. When an author puts this information into a picture story book it helps keep children interested. " said.
