" A story about perseverance and working hard to get what you want - in this case to swim like a shark! Great for any kid who loves sharks or is learning to swim. " said.

" Fun book about learning to swim for SHARK fans in preschool or early elementary school. The facts about sharks in the back of the book are a great bonus.Kids enjoyed this book and voted to give it 5 stars.I received an ARC for review. " said.

" Any child who loves sharks will enjoy this book! But it's more than that - Nate is obsessed with sharks and wants to be like sharks, but he has one problem...he can't swim. I was rooting for Shark Nate-O to accomplish his dreams. The illustrations are perfect, the wordplay is very funny, and the back matter will satisfy the curiosity of anyone interested in learning more. A great read! " said.

" Shark Nate-O's Nate is obsessed with sharks and wants to swim with the swim team like his brother. With courage and determination, we see Nate take the plunge with Coach Debra. There are some serious laugh-out-loud moments and puns abound. Kids will get a kick out of Nate's story and be inspired by his resolve. I reviewed an advanced copy of the book. " said.

" This beachy read is full of fun and fishy-fact back matter. Kids will relate to the fact that Nate is obsessed with sharks, as I know lots of kids who are obsessed over one animal or another, and sharks are right up there at the top of the list. The witty word choices and ironic problem (he can't swim) will keep parents and kids laughing as Nate tries to solve his problem. " said.

" I've seen this book mentioned since it first sold. The title cracks me up.It will definitely appeal to kids who love sharks and other ocean animals, but the idea of facing your fears and overcoming challenges is universal. This book is probably best for kids at the older end of the picture book market, say ages 5-8. " said.

" Shark Nate-o Tara Luebbe and Becky Cattie is a fun picture book for young kids who love sharks and especially those who are learning to swim. Nate is fascinated with all things sharks. He even acts like a shark. But when he has to take swimming lessons, he’s no Great White. Parents will appreciate all the shark puns, and kids will like Duncan’s shark drawings and details. The last pages even feature Nate’s shark facts. " said.
