" It's a pretty good adaptation of the first book. Though this series is definitely targeted at a young audience, it has some fun elements, I should consider pursuing it more. " said.

" So much of the humor found in the original novel is lost in this graphic novel. I might have enjoyed this more if I hadn't read the original book first. " said.

" I thought this was a nice graphic novel interpretation of the first book. Although Butler looked VERY different than I ever pictured him. Obviously quite a lot was cut out, but I thought it was done very well so the story still made complete sense and the art in this book was also very nice. " said.

" Probably only got as far as realizing that Butler was being portrayed as a hulking white man with a neck like a gorilla before chucking this across the room. My mental image has always been a bit more...dapper? " said.

" Though interesting to see what the characters were envisioned to look like, I cnnot say that the style of the book enhanced my experience of the story, even though I've enjoyed comic book stories before, but always with stories that I have read exclusively in that format. " said.

" Ik heb dit boek ooit gekocht omdat ik in de graphic novel fase zat. Het os zeker niet slecht maar heb al veel betere gelezen. De tekeningen zijn erg donker en ik kon het verhaal ook maar moeilijk volgen. " said.

" This was a nice visual experience after having read the other books in the series. It was interesting to see the interpretations of the characters, though some were not even close to what I pictured. Who would have thought Mulch Diggums could be cute? I'd recommend reading the original first, as this one is somewhat abridged. " said.

" I've listened to, or read, all the Artemis Fowl books. So picking up the graphic version just made sense. It's a great way to take in the first Fowl story. Solid depictions of the characters make it fun to look at and read. Plus it's a super fast read. I like to read slowly, especially when I've got pictures to look at, and I was finished with this thing in an hour or so. " said.
