I especially love to find books that not only captivate my children visually but teach us something about emotion, growing, custom and our history. Now, I’ve put together a good list of more than 16 books about titanic for kids.Hope you will like these books.

I can't believe how much my reading skills have gotten better as I grew older. When I read it back in grade 2, I thought it was one of the most complex books I ever read! Loved it then, love it now for all the nostalgia. Also, there's a magic tree house musical??? Why did......[Read More]

Excellent resource for school. I repurchased as it was on sale on Amazon and I didn't want to dig my ancient copy out of the basement.
Eyewitness does a spectacular job of describing every little detail on what happened that tragic night. The things recovered, the remnants and parts of the ship are also well represented.
Sam has recently developed a fascination with all things Titanic. He checked out every book from the library on the topic, but this one is by far his favorite. The illustrations are very detailed, which he likes.
Great introduction to the Titanic for kids. Answers all of the basic questions and includes many famous photos. There's a section about select survivors and a list of reasons other than the iceberg that contributed to the epic disaster. Some of the coloring on the photos......[Read More]
This simple / straight forward account of the disaster that struck ‘an unsinkable ship’ lacked enough depth / detail for me, but I expect young children will find it interesting.
Great starting point for young readers about this tragic event in our history.
I really love the format of this book. It's perfectly situated for young readers. The author tells a simple story of life aboard the Titanic weaved with contextual facts. I would like to get more books in this series.
This book is so incredibly informative. I really have nothing bad to say about it. It's easy to read and understand, so pretty much anyone can read it. I wouldn't purely use this book for a paper, but definitely as an add on type thing.
Cute informative read... as a librarian it would not work as it requires interactive ness which would destroy the book however I am thinking of getting it for my kids:)
Very nice presentation - I wish there were not so many stills from films though.
Thanks to Little, Brown and Company for the advance copy.Animals telling the story is not my favorite but I picked it up because we have lots of kids at the library who like these types of stories. There is plenty of exciting action that really drives the story, and the ......[Read More]
Reintroducing the I Survived books as graphic novels is brilliant. The text to illustration ratio is not as dense as the Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales. That means more historical facts in the hands of a wider range of kids. I can see kids moving from the I Survived novels to discovering the graphix ......[Read More]
Mary Montero's love of all things Titanic comes across clearly in this book. While obviously written with children in mind, I heartily recommend it to anyone interested in first-hand accounts of historic events. "Voices of the Titanic" brings to life the stories of a variety of people from all walks......[Read More]
